Executive Leadership Team

Bob Stenhouse

Bob Stenhouse
Bob Stenhouse is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Veritas Solutions. His career spans law enforcement, public‑sector leadership, human rights and workplace investigations, and national training in people‑risk management. The story of Veritas is inseparable from Bob’s own professional journey, one shaped by high‑stakes decision‑making, hard lessons, and a lifelong commitment to fairness, truth, and accountability.
Bob began his career as a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, where he became a nationally recognized investigator in serious and organized crime. He served on elite undercover and emergency response teams, including Canada’s former Special Emergency Response Team (SERT), and was part of a pioneering undercover unit that helped develop investigative techniques later known internationally as “Mr. Big” investigations. His work included complex homicide cases, organized crime, and high‑risk undercover operations, earning commendations for both investigative excellence and bravery.
Following his retirement from the RCMP, Bob transitioned into administrative, human rights, and workplace investigations, bringing with him a deep understanding of evidence, procedural fairness, credibility assessment, and investigative integrity. In the early 2000s, he worked as a corporate investigation consultant and Alberta Human Rights investigator, supporting government agencies, First Nations, and large organizations in addressing complex people‑risk and governance issues.
Bob later served for a decade as an Executive Director with Alberta Health Services, Canada’s largest health authority and one of the country’s largest employers. During this time, he envisioned, built, and led a centralized Corporate Investigations Unit responsible for conducting and overseeing high‑risk and highly scrutinized investigations. Under his leadership, investigations withstood review by arbitrators, courts, ombuds, and regulatory bodies. He also developed and delivered investigation training programs for human resources, occupational health and safety professionals, and leaders operating in complex institutional environments.
Education and learning have remained central to Bob’s work. In addition to extensive operational experience, he holds a master’s degree in the humanities, along with graduate‑level credentials in executive leadership, change management, and psychological health and safety. He has completed advanced training and certification in areas including emotional intelligence, trauma‑informed practice, violence and threat risk assessment, mental health resiliency, corporate risk management, and regulatory investigations.
As a national educator and speaker, Bob has developed and delivered workplace investigations training, leadership programs, and psychological safety seminars to thousands of professionals across Canada. His Workplace Investigations Training programs are delivered in partnership with Chartered Professionals in Human Resources associations across Western Canada and are widely recognized for their practical depth, clarity, and rigor. He is also a frequent keynote speaker on leadership, emotional intelligence, harassment, and bullying prevention, and risk‑informed decision‑making.
In founding Veritas Solutions, Bob brought together his investigative background, executive leadership experience, and commitment to humane, evidence‑based practice. The firm’s mission reflects his core belief: that wise, just, and defensible decisions, grounded in facts, evidence, and truth, are essential to managing people risk and maintaining trust in organizations. Outside of work, Bob is a lifelong outdoor enthusiast who enjoys skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and scrambling. He is also a musician and vocalist, performing with a rock band, a reminder that even in the most serious work, humanity, and balance matter.
