Bob became an Executive Director with Alberta Health Services for ten years, conducting, case managing and overseeing high risk and complex investigations with the largest employer in Alberta and largest health authority in Canada. Bob envisioned, initiated and developed a high performing Corporate Investigations Unit. Bob also developed and delivered Investigations Techniques training curriculum and workshops for Human Resources, Occupational Health and Safety, and other investigative professionals in health care.

Bob is passionate and highly informed in his areas of expertise. He is considered by adjudicators, lawyers, peers and clients as a subject matter expert in harassment, bullying, sexual harassment, human rights, and violence investigations. Investigations, under Bob’s oversight and quality assurance,  have withstood the legal scrutiny of arbitrators, the courts, ombudsman and regulatory bodies.

A seasoned and passionate educator and public speaker, Bob has developed and delivered workplace investigations courses and psychological safety seminars to thousands of participants nationally. His courses have received very high praise and feedback from numerous professionals. Bob takes his work very seriously but does not take himself too seriously and brings appropriate humor to all of his workshops.

Bob is also in demand as a keynote speaker and corporate trainer in the areas of leadership development, emotional intelligence, psychological safety and harassment and bullying prevention.

Bob is a lifelong learner and in addition to his hard earned  ‘street smarts’, he holds a master’s degree in the humanities and graduate level certificates in executive leadership and change management. Bob also has certifications and certificates in psychological safety, emotional intelligence, mental health resiliency, trauma informed practice, violence risk assessments, corporate trainer, corporate risk management, and regulatory investigations.

When not helping corporations, employers, and employees in the important work of creating a psychologically safe and high performing workplace, Bob is an avid four season outdoor enthusiast as a skier, hiker, mountain biker, and scrambler. He also sings in a rock ‘n roll band – but that may be a story for another day.
