CPHR BC & Yukon has partnered with Veritas Solutions to offer this Workplace Restoration Training to its members.

HR professionals are increasingly called upon to support workplaces after disruption such as organizational change, conflict, leadership missteps, psychological safety concerns, or the completion of formal workplace processes. Teams often need additional support to rebuild trust, restore working relationships, and re-establish safe and effective ways of working.

This full-day workshop is designed specifically for HR practitioners who help organizations move forward after disruption. It introduces a structured, trauma-informed, and practical approach to workplace restoration focused on restoring psychological safety, strengthening relationships, and supporting sustainable workplace functioning.

Participants will gain a clear understanding of what workplace restoration is, when it is appropriate, and how it complements other HR processes. The session introduces a workplace restoration framework and the foundational conditions required for success, including leadership sponsorship, psychological safety, trauma-informed practice, cultural responsiveness, adaptability, and an outcome-focused approach.

A significant portion of the workshop focuses on HR’s role in facilitating restoration and resolving conflict. Participants will build skills in preparing for and supporting difficult conversations, managing defensiveness and strong emotions, and facilitating restorative dialogue. The session introduces a practical conflict resolution and facilitation model that participants can apply in one-on-one conversations, team discussions, and post-disruption restoration efforts.

The learning is practical, grounded in real HR scenarios, and designed to equip participants with tools and frameworks that can be immediately applied.

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  • Explain workplace restoration and identify when it is an appropriate response following workplace disruption
  • Apply a structured workplace restoration framework to support recovery at both individual and systemic levels
  • Identify the conditions required for effective workplace restoration, including leadership sponsorship, psychological safety, and trauma‑informed practice
  • Strengthen conflict‑resolution and facilitation skills to support difficult and emotionally charged workplace conversations
